The Backstage Stylist is led by Genn Shaughnessy — Creative Director, Master Stylist, and a multidisciplinary beauty professional with 20+ years of experience across HD television, film, commercial production, weddings, fashion, and luxury beauty services.

The name comes from the world that shaped me:
the backstage — where transformation is precise, intentional, and impossibly creative.
It’s where every detail matters and where professionalism and artistry meet.

From New York film sets to editorial shoots, from Olympic athletes and well-known actors to musicians and brides, I’ve spent more than two decades creating elevated beauty experiences for clients who expect results that last and look flawless both in person and on camera.

With deep experience in production, I create camera-perfect hair, makeup, and character design for 4K–HDR environments.
